Gift idea for your girlfriends on Valentine’s Day: Hot Cakes

My design agency attended the Fancy Food show up in San Francisco in January and were introduced to all sorts of new brands and food trends. One in particular was a hit with our group of ladies — Hot Cakes Molten Chocolate Cakery! Their entire collection rocked our world. Created by the amazing Autumn Martin, she’s taken the popular chocolate lava cake concept to a whole new level, with her mini molten chocolate cakes. Her other confections raise the chocolate bar as well, with her organic caramel sauces {including a rye whiskey caramel sauce}, smoked chocolate chips,  s’more kits, and bling blings {their reinvented ding dong}. If Rob and I ever make it up to Seattle anytime soon, we WILL be visiting her cakery. Plus, it looks like they have a killer happy hour, with boozy shakes?! What?! I’m in.

I immediately thought “who can I send these molten chocolate cakes to for Valentine’s Day??” {Plus, who wouldn’t enjoy chocolate on Valentine’s Day?!}. . . Answer: some of my Arizona “hot cakes”! ;)

As I mentioned, their molten chocolate cake in a mason jar is their speciality. All you do is take and bake for 15 minutes! The organic chocolate cake goodness oozes out when you start scooping into it. It’s so decadent it can be shared with a friend or significant other :) Brilliant! I added a set of 4 to my cart and shipped these cakes off for my girls in AZ to enjoy!

Here’s s’more of their amazing products — Pacific sea salt caramel and rye whiskey caramel, ding dings, and smoked chocolate chips – perfect for a different kind of chocolate chip cookie {yum!}. Get your hot cakes!!!!!!

{Their packaging is pretty amazing, too. Absolutely stunning!}

In the mood for Valentine’s Day

Other than a red toe nails, I haven’t done much to prep for Valentine’s Day this year {with having a baby and all}. There are so many wonderful images swimming around Pinterest lately, I couldn’t help myself! Hoping the hubby and I can still make Valentine’s Day special in some way. Here’s what getting me inspired for this adorable holiday:

What are your plans for Valentine’s Day? Hopefully you’re doing something fun with a loved one or close friend! ;)

Woodland Creatures – baby boy’s nursery {part III}

The rest of my Etsy finds finally came in and I was able to finish the nursery.  I’ve been wanting to keep the nursery fairly simple {in case you can’t already tell}, and thought these prints from French Press Mornings were beyond perfect. Loved that I could customize what colors and woodland creatures I wanted. And that arrow border — too cute!  Nothing left to do now but have a baby . . {!!}

I would say my sister completed the room for me when she bought me my “Young & Brave” print from Billy & Scarlet. I had the perfect frame waiting for it :-) Thank you Pamsy!

And another random thought for you. I’ve been using Mrs. Meyer’s Baby Blossom detergent for baby boy’s clothes and blankets, and it smells AMAZING. One of the best smells in the world I’ve decided. I’m going to have to get the entire Baby Blossom product line now for sure.

Have a great Wednesday ya’ll!

Woodland Creatures – baby boy’s nursery {part II}

Over the last few weeks we’ve been getting more of the nursery put together. I’m currently reading 12 Hours of Sleep Before 12 Weeks Old and I’m so excited to start sleep training! Must be the planner in me, but I want my baby to be happy and sleep soundly in this little nursery we’ve made {and I want us to have a sleep schedule, too!}. Here’s the latest progress:

If you’re looking for the Thumbprint tree print, you can purchase it here on Etsy. It’s adorable!

I’ve been getting my playlist ready for the hospital {in case it helps me}, and thought I’d share with you some of the music I’m LOVING right now:

Safe Haven movie soundtrack
Katy Perry
My friend, Kristin, just introduced me to Kasey Musgraves, too, and now I’m obsessed.
I just lie around, listening to her entire album on repeat, like a teenager. Definitely the next Miranda ;)

What are you currently listening to? Would love to add to my playlist!
