I just recently realized that we probably won’t be back to Europe for another couple of years and am having travel anxiety. I know we’re planning for a Hawaiian adventure next year, but I’m not sure anything will ever live up to our month in Europe. I found some pictures from my old iPhone {as I was saying goodbye to it} & all the memories came flooding back. Europe, I’ll see you again!
My iPhone 5 has arrived and I’m in love. Have you used the panoramic option yet on the camera? It is SOOO fun!!! I decided to take some shots of our little cottage, since I really haven’t yet. 1 bedroom, 2 bath, possible loft and a patio with a view. EnJOY!

Another week has flown by. Hope yours was nice! We’re getting our menu ready for Thanksgiving and shopping lists ready for Christmas. There is a new chill in the air. My thin blood from Arizona is still trying to get used to this kind of weather, but it’s still so pretty every day. God is definitely gracing us with a gorgeous autumn. Here’s what brought me joy last week:
1. This beautiful man. Don’t know what I’d do without him.
2. Skype double-date with our besties, the Thomsons.
3. My friend, Sarah’s little James brings me joy every week. So happy they’re safe and that the damage from Hurricane Sandy was manageable where they live {Lyndurst, NJ}.
4. Lunch & shopping in Los Gatos with Heather. What a charming hill town!

But somehow, I am. And I can’t kick it. Usually I feel sicky for a couple days, drink a Gatorade, pop some Advil Cold & Sinus and whatever it is, is gone. Not this time. It’s here to stay. Rob has been avoiding me like the plaque, and sleeping on the couch. Not cool. I feel like Monica from Friends. Especially the part where I want to get lovey but start coughing uncontrollably.
Have you heard of the Greek/Scandinavian cure for the cough? 2 Tablespoons each of honey, lemon juice and whiskey. Heat it and shoot it. I tried it last night (twice) and it was delicious! I think it worked.. . up until about 2 a.m. when I started coughing again and had to get the Vicks out. Bleh.
What are your cures for the common head cold? And the coughs?
I’m listening to the Beach Boys station on Pandora and day-dreaming of a Hawaiian beach, a cabana, pina coladas, palm trees blowing in the breeze, and the strings of a ukulele. It’s still a year away, but I’m so excited for Hawaii I can barely stand it. I’m currently obsessing over the Vintage Hawaii theme . . . I can tell why my mom was so in love with Elvis back in the day. He’s an absolute hunk! I think I need to rent me some Blue Hawaii ASAP. Maybe this weekend:)
