A magical day

Rob and I went home at the end of April for his Dad’s wedding, and it was one of the most magical weddings I’ve ever been to! Randy and Susan are so happy, and so in love. The way they look at each other is so heartwarming. Seeing his Dad this happy makes ME so happy! The newlyweds honeymooned in New York and will be making the big move-in after!

Farmer's Market flowers

Patio flowers

I’ve started getting our patio ready for summer and my first buy was this wacky thing I picked up at the farmer’s market a week ago. Love the color mix between the fuchsia and purple.

Next, a succulent frame, an herb box, more flowers and possibly lanterns!

What to do when you only have 24 hrs in Chi-town

I went to Chicago last week for work and had only 24 hours to spend in the windy, foggy city.

What to do with so little time you ask? Here is what you do!

 Order Chicago-style deep-dish pizza from Gino’s East of Chicago:
See the bean:
Admire the Art Institute of Chicago from the outside:
See the Crown Fountains:
Grab a truffle coffee and breakfast and watch the city life:

Work a little:

Next time, I’ll make sure I stay longer to do the following:

Hope to return to Chicago someday soon!  Note to self: buy the new iPhone ASAP!

And, remember how I wanted to start framing special mementos (or special moments in my case) ? Well, since this move was sort of a big deal for us, I decided to frame our “We’ve Moved” announcement. Now I just have to figure out where to put it:) Plus, I love the colors.
