Did you all have a nice Valentine’s Day? I hope so! This week I felt extra joyful, and kept my creepy hugs to a minimum at work, ha. I’m excited to get one more day to my weekend this weekend, and plan to disconnect a little so I can read, play with the pups or ride my new bike! Rob is going north for a couple days for work, so I get the holiday to myself. I see some well-earned gym time in my future. I ate WAY too many chocolates this week. I’m off to make some eggs and toast, but first, here’s what brought me joy last week:

1. Whopper dinner. The best way to end a stressful work day.
2. Some “me” time.
3. Surprise delivery of roses from my love, in person! He even bought flowers for all the ladies I work with ;)
4. My new beach cruiser!

To do in San Francisco: Alamo Square

When our tour bus never showed up at Union Square {sad}, we made the best of it. The trolley line was too long, so we spent a good hour or so at H&M and then jetted off to Alamo Square to see the famous Painted Ladies, as seen on Full House. I’ve been wanting to see these houses FOREVER. It’s a beautiful park where people lounge around and picnic, walk their dogs and throw the frisbee. Such a great “find” – I highly recommend! We stopped at a local corner ice-cream / pie shop to feed our sweet tooth, and then headed home to meet the boys back in the Cruz. That blue sky is to die for, and so are all the houses in this neighborhood!

Gift idea for dog lovers: crunch cards

The way to my heart? Spoil my dogs:)

Our friends Jack & Kristin did just that.We were pleasantly surprised to find a Valentine’s Day colored box on our doorstep the other night. It was filled with treats for us, and our pups! Dog lovers’ pasta, Valentine’s Day-themed crunch cards, personalized frame, candy, confetti and more.

Let’s digress a little and look at these clever crunch cards by Crunch Kins. Not only are these cards edible and delicious for dogs & cats, you can choose your card by breed, by occasion, or by holiday. The PERFECT gift to send to a dog-lover friend! Bravo, Kristin! Plus, they’re 100% natural rawhide and use non-toxic ink. Watch out friends with dogs. Yours might get a crunch card! Lucy LOVED hers.

Thanks J&K!

Waking up in San Francisco

Miss Heather and I headed to San Francisco this past weekend for a cheesy bus tour of the city, and drove up the night before to stay with her aunt & uncle – even drove down Lombard Street {they live a block away!}. Their house is the epitome of houses you only imagine exist in San Francisco. Views of the bay, multi-floor, hidden rooms and a wall of book shelves. Their home belongs in a movie. I woke up to a beautiful, blue morning. We made some coffee, watched some funny videos on You Tube {have you guys seen Kai?} and then hit up Pier 32 for monster breakfast sandwiches. It was so wonderful waking up in San Francisco:)

Hi friends. A new month is upon us, and love is in the air! This past week flew by. Every day I can feel Spring getting closer and closer. Do you have any fun plans for Valentine’s Day? Do you even LIKE Valentine’s Day? This is our first Valentine’s Day in California so we’re still trying to decide what we want to do. Whatever you do, I hope it’s filled with love! Here’s what brought me joy last week:

1. Freshly cut tulips from a client. I’ve never seen more perfect tulips.
2. Heart mittens {and Tacoma’s face}.
3. A new lunch spot in downtown San Juan B.
4. Drinks at the Madrone Art Bar in San Fran before dinner with Heather and her family – so fun! The “Lola” is amazing!
