This past weekend I had the honor of putting on a baby shower for one of my best friends in the world – Miss Moon! Along with her other good friends and her Mama, we wanted to shower her with so much cuteness and details that she couldn’t stand it. The theme was mainly green and white, with traces of gold and geometric shapes. I found this greenery invitation on Etsy and the inspiration sort of just flowed from there.
Included in our shower was a “Oh Baby” backdrop, small appetizers, Moon pies, greenery galore and baby’s breath all over, including a baby’s breath crown for the mom-to-be. The venue – Garage East in Agritopia in Gilbert, Arizona – was absolutely stunning. It added just the right amount of accents and textures to our baby shower theme, and the pop of color with the umbrellas and couches were just perfect. They’re also some of the best people you’ll ever meet and get the pleasure to work with, if you ever do. I HIGHLY recommend if you’re hosting an event or get together to go to Garage East. The owner and the staff went above and beyond for our party, even helped carry out the gifts to our cars. Especially since three of us were preggo! They provided us drinkware and a table assortment of some of their most delectable wines, including their refreshing red sangria and a breakfast wine that belonged in the Mimosa family. The beverage table was definitely a hit for the group.
For activities during the shower, we had ‘Decorate a block’ and Baby Shower Bingo. As parting gifts, we had bath salts in little cork-topped vials ( I used epson salts because I’m obsessed with epson salt). Overall, it was such a gorgeous event and even though the slight bit of humidity from the rain and the on and off sunshine kept us a little sweaty, we all enjoyed the shade and breeze and kept the iced drinks flowing.
I love this woman so much it hurts, and am so excited for her to experience motherhood. Congrats my dear friend! Can’t wait to meet your little man in June!
