Happy Christmas

I hope you all have a WONDERFUL holiday. Merry Christmas.

We celebrated with the 12 dates of Christmas:

  1. Visted the Christmas tree farm and cut down our first tree, and decorated it.
  2. Baked holiday cookies.
  3. Shopped for Christmas pajamas.
  4. Took a driving light tour.
  5. Sipped hot chocolate and star gazed.
  6. Spoiled the dogs with stockings.
  7. Mailed Christmas cards.
  8. Had a Christmas movie marathon.
  9. Went Christmas shopping together.
  10. Enjoyed a Christmas dinner date out {with the Thomson’s}
  11. Went ice-skating.
  12. Made Gingerbread houses.

Hi friends. We are in Arizona for the holiday and are so happy to see our friends and family.  I couldn’t sleep all last week due to the excitement so now I’m looking forward to some relaxation and home-cooked meals! Safe travels to those traveling this holiday {like us} – we wish you many moments of ‘JOY’! Here’s what brought me joy last week:
 
  1. My work party – great food & fun!
  2. Pizza date with my love.
  3. My office lamp.
  4. Our first “Santa Cruz” ornament
  5. A beautiful surprise.
  6. My mother-in-law’s Christmas tree.

Christmas calligraphy

This year, I took FULL advantage of Heather‘s calligraphy skills for our Christmas cards. She addressed all 40 for us – and also a little something inside. We added some washi tape and a festive stamp and these babies were ready to go {early this year!}. Thank you, Heather!

I hope everyone who received a card from us was delighted to see their name scripted so beautifully. I had a hard time parting with them at the mailbox myself. If you’re looking for someone who is amazing at Calligraphy {and has about 50 different inks and scraps of doodles}, you should head over to Found in the Central Coast.

Stockings for the pups

6th date of Christmas – make stockings for the dogs. And that we did, and a little more ;)
Lucy looks twice my size here. Hahahahaha

Hot chocolate star gazing

On our 5th date of Christmas we sipped hot chocolate on our patio and star gazed. I like to put a little mint ice-cream in my hot chocolate – you should try it, it’s delicious! We wished on a star, watched planes fly by and talked about our upcoming Christmas vacation. When it got too cold to bear, we took the party to the couch.
