Hi friends. We are in Arizona for the holiday and are so happy to see our friends and family.  I couldn’t sleep all last week due to the excitement so now I’m looking forward to some relaxation and home-cooked meals! Safe travels to those traveling this holiday {like us} – we wish you many moments of ‘JOY’! Here’s what brought me joy last week:
 
  1. My work party – great food & fun!
  2. Pizza date with my love.
  3. My office lamp.
  4. Our first “Santa Cruz” ornament
  5. A beautiful surprise.
  6. My mother-in-law’s Christmas tree.

Happy weekend friends! Christmas {and AZ} is a week away, and our excitement is building! We still have a lot of Christmas shopping – and packing – to do. I can’t believe Christmas came so soon. Our weekend has been full of new friends, shopping, work parties and more “dates” of Christmas. I don’t know about you, but I LOVE buying gifts for others. I live for it. I would buy for everyone I know if I could. But, Rob brings me back to reality, that I cannot, ha. Hope you’re all having a nice holiday so far. Here’s what brought me joy last week:

 

1. Lars and the Real Girl, dinner at home and a new beer!
2. Zumba!
3. Afternoon light at the office.
4. Christmas cards from friends & family.

Good morning from Santa Cruz! We’re getting quite the little storm up this way. The rain combined with the wind is a beautiful sound; we love falling asleep to it. This weekend we cut down our first Christmas tree, and it smells INCREDIBLE. Why we have never done this before I don’t know. I might just sleep on the couch every night, just so I can fall asleep to the smell of the Douglas Fur in our living room. It’s seriously heavenly. I’m watching Elf this a.m., enjoying some California citrus and reflecting on last week. Days just fly by don’t they? Here’s what brought me joy last week:

1. My leftover, homemade turkey tortilla soup (with homemade tortilla strips!).
2. Peppermint mochas.
3. Our Greek feast at work for a birthday.
4. A hot date night out with my love. You really need to see Silver Lining Playbook – amazing.

Have a great week friends – only 23 more days ’til Christmas!

My heart is overflowing with happiness right now. It might be because I’ve had pumpkin pie for breakfast every day this weekend, or the fact that I can’t get enough of my love. We are having so much fun together in California. Hope you all had a nice turkey day with your families {or friends in our case} and are as excited for Christmas as we are. We get to see our AZ families and friends in 4 weeks! Our Christmas boxes are out and so is Last Christmas by WAM on repeat. Here’s what brought me joy last week:

1. Tacoma’s new Christmas bandana. What a sweetie.
2. Seeing a family of deer on our way home from Felton. 
3. Morning walks with the dogs and hubby.
4. Our Friendsgiving! More on that later. . .

Hi friends. I’m enjoying a morning to myself this Sunday and watching my doggies sleep. I have a million things going through my head right now, mostly about all the things I want to accomplish. Thanksgiving is days away, and I can’t wait to eat! Hope you get to be with your loved ones this holiday. We’ll be staying here and making our own feast. Here’s what brought me joy last week:

 

1. Lucy turned 7 this week. Can’t believe I’ve had a dog for 7 years.
2. Oh Joy! & Rockstar Diaries’ virtual chat on blogging. Very inspiring!
3. Sunshine and rain in San Juan.
4. Super tacos at Taqueria Vallarta. The chicken is AMAZING.
