This is Jace and one of his best buds, Henry. Henry’s mom texted me these photos the other day and my heart just about melted. It doesn’t get much better than this. A warm afternoon, hanging with your best friend. There is so much summer in this photo I can’t stand it. I love these two together!

Easter was a good one for us this year. God graced us with another healthy boy, and we had a lot ot rejoicing to do in the meaning of the day. That we are saved forever. And we have the love of our family around us. Again I say, we are so blessed. We planned a little Easter egg hunt for Jace in the morning before family arrived. My parents brought over a huge Easter feast of ham and scalloped potatoes and lobster ravioli, and more. We also got out our blow-up pool out for Jace. Rob’s Dad stopped over for the second part of the day with more basket goodies for Jace. It was a wonderful day, but also a very long and tiring day, ha.
Yesterday we spent some time at one of our favorite parks down by Papago, and got pretty sweaty. When we got home we brought out the lawn sprinkler for Jace and to our surprise, he got quickly undressed (we convinced him to keep his undies on) and started running circles around our front yard. No fear that one. I can’t believe how tall and lengthy he’s getting. Love him so much. And his little ninja turtle undies:)
Happy Sunday ya’ll!
For March I decided to do a little drop-in to see a friend’s Mom. It’d been way too long since I’d stopped over to say hi, plus they had a new puppy that I wanted to get my hands on! Since Spring is in full swing in these parts, I thought to bring brunch over, Trader Joe’s style. I stopped for some pretty sunflowers (of course), cold-brewed coffee, an almond danish, sparkling lemonade and .. last but not least, doggy treats for their new puppy, Jax! Then I delivered it in a fun grocery bag they could keep for all their future trips to Trader ;)
We had such a nice time catching up and hanging out in their backyard garden. They even put on Spiderman for Jace and served us some cookies and milk! What a beautiful Spring morning to visit and hear all their updates. When you can’t see your Californian best friend, it helps to see her through her momma’s face. Love her dearly and love my far friend.
We took our birthday boy to a Giants game this past Sunday – and what an awesome time we had. Some serious memory making! We even invited his bestest friends in the world to come – Stella from daycare (his girrrrrlfriend) and James, my friend Sarah’s little boy that he completely looks up to! Plus the parents, so even better for us. We went for the bleacher seats so Jace could see more of the game and it worked out great. A little warm, but we got some shade where we were, and there was the occasional breeze (why do I always talk about the weather? haha Must be something I get from my Dad). Momma even got a root beer float! We sure do love our friends the Andersons, and Stella’s Mom and Dad. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Good friends and a good game! I think Jace loved every minute of his birthday gift. Here are the lovebirds together ;) Every time Stella gives Jace a hug she tries to pick him up all the way. It’s the cutest thing.
