Friendsgiving at the beach house

It’s officially the holiday season {yay}! We had a pretty low-key Thanksgiving this year with a couple of our friends. Even though we couldn’t be with family, we did get to talk with all of them via phone or FaceTime. I even FaceTimed with my family in Michigan! It made my day. I’m so thankful FaceTime was invented. Rob and I picked up the turkey and pies, and because we went to Costco, we went big. Now we have a TON of leftovers, and having that much left-over pie is not a good thing for me, ha. This year we also brined our turkey, which was so easy I’m not sure why we’ve never done it before. Then we covered it in garlic, butter & sage. It came out perfect. Because the turkey took longer than we thought, I was able to take a lot of before pics {sorry, no food shots!}. It was so nice to just visit and watch holiday movies and enjoy Thanksgiving together. We have so much to be thankful for every year. God has been keeping a close watch on us, in more than one way. Every new day is a blessing.
