Not sure why I call Walker my boob, but I just do. It’s my favorite nick name for him. My friend Heather snapped this of my little man being a total ham at our lunch in Palo Alto. Those baby eyes get me every time.
Last weekend I took the boys with me to Palo Alto for the Sonnet James sample sale. Miss Heather joined us, too and I’m so glad she did! We had such a great day. I’ve been a distant fan of Sonnet James’ play dresses for years but sadly I’ve never been able to afford buying one. I just couldn’t stomach spending $140 for a dress that I might ruin, so the minute I heard about the sample sale I jumped at the opportunity, especially now that I live so close to the Sonnet James HQ in Palo Alto. I was so excited to see some of her designs in person and feel the fabric quality. And, wow! Amazing fabric, amazing cuts and styles. Very well made and incredibly comfortable to wear. I was blown away by how soft and stretchy all the dresses were.
Yeah, that’s right. My son is 4 and I’m now just taking him to the dentist for the first time. Im pretty much the worst parent in the world. I did not know they could go as early 2! I’m so stupid. And I have definitely learned from this first experience because my little man has like 10 cavities! I could cry. I feel so bad for the kid and in this case, it was totally on us not cracking the whip sooner or more often. Who only lets their kid brush their teeth once a day?! Me. Just horrible. No more! Time to get serious. Twice a day, using the flosser thingy and more fluoride! But nonetheless, they took amazing care of him and he actually had a blast. He didn’t want to leave. Crazy right?! The staff was incredible, and there were toys galore so Jace felt right at home. They even let him pick out prizes after. I was so surprised that he did everything they asked him to, too. He was such a rockstar, I was so proud of him. But my eyes wanted to tear up knowing what’s in store for him with the shots to come. One appointment at a time for sure. Fingers crossed.
Well, our not so little baby anymore is walking all over the place. Here he’s simply doing laps with his walker, but take it away from his little chubby hands and he will gladly walk on his own. He also loves to hold things as he walks – pillows, blankets, toys, a full sized football .. you name it. I mostly love that he loves us watching him walk these laps around our downstairs. And when he puts his head down, like it’s making him faster or something, just cracks me up!!
